How it works

The Quiet Catch is simple and stress-free. Elissa leads the way in her car, and 1–4 cars follow behind. Together in convoy, groups visit a variety of hand-picked locations, each offering a unique nature, art, or cultural experience.

Depending on the tour you choose, you might:

• Walk along scenic coastal paths and hidden bush tracks.
• Spot wonderful birdlife, plantlife and sealife.
• Visit local art and cultural spaces.
• Discover historical and cultural landmarks, learning the stories behind them.
• Connect with Bribie Island’s environment, community, and heritage.
• Participate in art-based activities.

With Elissa guiding the route, you can enjoy the adventure without worrying about maps, directions, or planning. To ensure insurance compliance, Elissa is unable to transport guests in her own vehicle.

Connected convoy: live audio commentary

During the tour, Elissa provides occasional live commentary as we drive – sharing stories, tips, and fun facts about each location. Each car stays connected via WhatsApp.

Before we set off, one person in each car connects their own smartphone to a group WhatsApp audio call through the vehicle’s speakers. This allows everyone in the car – including the driver – to hear the guide’s live commentary throughout the tour. Passengers are welcome to ask questions along the way if they choose to.

Legal and Safety Info: Once you’re on the move, only passengers should touch the phone. Drivers must keep their hands free and eyes on the road. If your driver holds a P1 licence (under 25) or a learner’s permit, please note that under Queensland law, nobody in that car — neither driver nor passengers — can use the phone’s loudspeaker function while driving. So that car will need to just enjoy the drive without the live audio commentary running through the speakers.

You’ll need your own smartphone with mobile data (roaming enabled if you’re visiting from overseas), plus Bluetooth or AUX in your vehicle. We don’t provide devices.
